Our Mission
Tshani Foundation empowers vulnerable women, including refugees and those lacking formal education, by providing vocational training in hair braiding, business skills, and ongoing support to create pathways to economic independence and dignity.
Founded in 2020, Tshani Foundation grew from Nicole Tshani’s personal journey from refugee to successful salon entrepreneur. After establishing Kampala’s longest-running braiding salon, Nicole recognized that her success could be replicated to help other vulnerable women achieve economic independence.
